Garage won't close and it's late? You'll know who's coming.
Call or text at any hour, and a person answers. Before you hang up you'll have an arrival window, and before the truck leaves you'll have the technician's name and truck number.
- Arrival: A window, given on the phone
- License CGC15***68
Does this count as an emergency?
- Night is falling and the garage is still wide open to the street.
- Your car is shut in, and you have an early shift or a morning flight out of RSW.
- A lift cable gave way, and one corner of the door dropped.
- The rollers left the track and the door is tipping into the garage: off track.
- A spring broke with the door up, and now it won't come down.
- A storm is in the forecast and the door stays up or won't lock.
Who's coming, by text
After the call, the updates come to your phone:
- Before the truck leaves: the technician's name and truck number.
- While the truck is on its way: an update from our office, as it reaches the bridge if there's one between us.
- On arrival: a text with the tech's photo.
If the person at your door doesn't match that text, don't open. Call us.
While you wait tonight
- If anyone is hurt or pinned by the door, call 911 first.
- Lock the door between the garage and the house. Tonight, that's the one that matters.
- Turn on the garage and driveway lights, and move anything valuable out of sight.
- Unplug the opener so nobody hits the button while the door is damaged.
- Stay out from under a door that's crooked, off its track or hanging by one cable.
- If a spring or a cable is broken and the door is up, don't pull the red cord. Nothing would hold the door, and it can come down all at once.
Storm on the way
Hurricane season runs from June 1 to November 30, and the rainy season from mid-May to mid-October, so a door that won't close can easily run into bad weather. No other opening in the house is as wide as the garage door. If a storm is forecast, say so when you call: getting the door closed and locked goes ahead of everything else on the list.
Questions about emergency repair
Yes. Texts to (239) 990-3754 reach a person at any hour, same as calls. A photo of the door and where it's stuck helps us tell you what to do right away.
Check them against the texts. The first one names the technician and the truck number, and the one on arrival shows their photo. If the person at the door doesn't match, keep it closed and call (239) 990-3754.
Yes. The same line covers both banks of the Caloosahatchee around the clock, and you'll get a text when the truck crosses the Midpoint or the Cape Coral Bridge.
If the house is open or someone could get hurt, call us first and your landlord right after. Tell us who approves repairs, and the written price goes to them before the work begins.
Tell us what the door is doing
A person answers, day or night. Describe the door or text a photo, and you'll hear what it probably is, how long the fix takes and when a truck can get to you.
